Transborder Studio is proud to announce that we have been invited to participate in the 19th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia 2025, one of the world's most prestigious architecture and design events. Under the theme "Intelligence. Natural. Artificial. Collective.", curated by Carlo Ratti, we will present our visionary project "Ocean City" – an exploration of how cities can be built in a way that creates more nature.
About "Ocean City"
With the project "Ocean City", we challenge the established methods of urban development in port areas. Traditional construction methods have a significant climate impact and create inadequate conditions for marine life. Through an innovative approach to construction and material use, Transborder's team of architects, engineers, and marine biologists demonstrate how architecture can have a negative carbon footprint while contributing to regenerating nature in the Oslo Fjord.
