Kloden Pilot

Scenekunstbruket – an organization directing public funding to independent theatre companies – supports numerous performances all over Norway every year. These productions are shown in schools, public spaces and other venues that become impromptu stages where new universes unfold.

The historical traveling theater is the inspiration for the architectural concept for “Kloden Pilot” – a first phase in realizing a new theatre house for youths in Oslo, conceived by Scenekunstbruket. The pilote is located in a former workshop in the industrial/transformation area of Kabelgata in Oslo east. On the workshop hall’s crane, A movable “wagon” is mounted which contains the public functions and stage technique. The “wagon” enables various spatial configurations and scenography.
